WHY DIVINE BREATH

The first minutes shape the whole day.

Wake, reach, scroll — for most of us the day begins on someone else's terms. Divine Breath gives those first minutes back.

01

The Word before the noise

One verse, chosen for the day, read before email or news. Three minutes is enough to change the tone of the next sixteen hours.

02

Stillness you can practice

A guided breath turns reading into prayer. This is not another app asking for your attention — it is one that returns it.

03

A habit held by grace

No streaks to defend, no guilt when you miss a morning. Just a gentle return, day after day — private and unhurried.

THE RITUAL

Three minutes. One verse. Every morning.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN
15

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it.

3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5I am the vine, ye are the branches. Abide.

What does it mean to abide in Him?
GUIDE
To abide is to remain — not to visit and leave, but to dwell. Jesus uses the image of a branch: apart from the vine it withers and bears no fruit; in Him, it flourishes. The invitation is not to try harder, but to stay closer. Read these words slowly: “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” That mutual indwelling — He in you, you in Him — is the whole of the Christian life. John 15:4
How do I begin practicing that, this morning?
GUIDE
Start before you reach for anything else. Sit still, hands open, and take three slow breaths — in through the nose, out through the mouth. Then open to John 15 and read verse five aloud, even quietly to yourself: “I am the vine, ye are the branches.” You don't need to feel anything in particular. Abiding begins not as an achievement to unlock, but as a turning of the heart toward Him before the world turns it elsewhere. Just remain. John 15:5
